KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III ‘the Great’, 336-323 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 28 mm, 17.28 g, 9 h), Myriandros or Issos, struck under Menes or Philotas, circa 324/3-323. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. BAΣΙΛΕΩΣ - AΛEΞANΔPOΥ Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle standing right with closed wings in his right; to left, monogram; below throne, monogram of MI. Price 3235. Large test cut on the edge and with a graffito of 'X' on the obverse, otherwise, good very fine.
